Job Description
Night Custodian The Ralph C. Mahar Regional School District is seeking a Night Custodian. The hours for this position are MondayFriday Job ResponsibilitiesKeeps the building and property in clean and orderly routine maintenance heavy cleaning mops scrubs or vacuum and empties sanitizes and supplies restroom furniture walls and windows mirrors and partitions with soap and other cleaning solutions and chemicals in containers in preparation for cleaning according to all procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power machinery to ensure safety and prevent damage to floors and and polishes fixtures and or steamcleans carpets and and polishes furniture and inventory of cleaning vehicles required to perform or travel to cleaning work including industrial trucks vans or industrial floor managers regarding the need for repairs or additions to building operating duties as assigned by SupervisorCustodian Qualifications / Skills:Knowledge of standard cleaning methods and proceduresAbility to stand walk and bend for many hoursAbility to perform repetitive motion for long periods of timeExperience with using cleaning equipment including vacuum cleaners floor equipment and cleaning solutionsBackground in handling mixing and using cleaning chemicalsKnowledge of occupational hazards safety rulesCommunication skillsAbility to lift at minimum 50 lbs which includes heavy objects climb ladders and work at particular heightsEducation and Experience Requirements:High school diploma or equivalentBasic math skillsAbility to communicate through emailBasic computer literacySalary: $20.48/hr $26.08/hr depending on experience
