Summary Objective
This position works under general supervision for Department Director or designee
This position is responsible for the management of the Parks Division for the Parks & Recreation Department which includes supervisory and administrative duties to plan coordinate and supervise support staff and resources that are responsible for maintenance of City Parks Recreation Facilities Beach and Recreational Buildings. Duties also include daily operations including trash collection landscaped maintenance building repairs equipment repairs and custodial duties. Work also includes the supervision of athletic field renovations and construction projects for the Parks & Recreation Department.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires an Associates Degree or specialized courses/training equivalent to satisfactory completion of two years of college business administration recreation/physical education leisure services or related field.
Requires four years experience in the planning and implementation of recreation fitness and parks programs athletics and supervision and evaluation of staff and facilities or an equivalent combination of education training and experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities.
