The St. Ambrose University Department of Nursing in Davenport IA invites qualified applicants for a fulltime clinical track faculty position. The candidate selected for the position will join a wellestablished department focused on implementing the approved curriculum based on the mission and philosophy of the Department of Nursing and St Ambrose University.
This 11month position begins on August 15 2025. Nursing instructors are professionals with the education and skills to prepare the next generation of nurses. They provide opportunities for students to acquire knowledge and practice skills identified in course objectives within classroom laboratory and clinical settings; using appropriate and innovative teaching methods across a variety of modalities including online and face to face teaching. All nursing faculty at St Ambrose University participate in the programs evaluation and continuous improvement processes.
Candidates are required to have a Masters degree in Nursing. Candidates must be eligible for licensure as a registered nurse in Iowa. Additional state licensure may be required. Candidates must have five or more years of nursing experience in at least two different settings. Candidates with behavioral health nursing experience are preferred. Faculty rank will be commensurate with the applicants credentials interest and experience. Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching and scholarship will enhance the candidates application.
