JOB SUMMMARY:
The Innkeeper is a leadershipposition who works with our Housekeeping and Guest Services associates to guaranteeour guests clean spaces and service that will exceed their expectations. This position requires an individual to actively participate throughoutthe property on a daily basis. The Innkeeper works as part of a team to deliverhospitable service that is attentive friendly efficient and courteous whilemaximizing room revenue and occupancy. Major responsibilitiesinclude servicing accommodations according to property procedures training newteam members in job functions and standards and supporting the Housekeepingteam and Guest Services as the property lead. This position requires strongattention to detail and the ability to work without constant directsupervision.
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The high quality care wellbeing and overall recognition of ourguests. Making sure that each guestexperience exceeds with guests on a daily basis and resolving any concerns thatmay arise.
Directly oversee the Front Desk and Housekeeping departments.
Responsible for the direct supervision of above departmentalemployees while working to ensure resolution to any and all employee relatedchallenges or concerns across department lines while adhering to companypolicies.
Hiring training reviewing and disciplining departmental personnelup to and including termination. Ensure all employee paperwork is filled outand communicated appropriately.
Maintains an effective and efficient communication between the FrontDesk Housekeeping and all other departments.
Ensure Front Desk staff has working knowledge of constantly changingpromotions rates room and property descriptions.
Perform the essential job functions of a housekeeping associate asdescribed in the Housekeeping Associate job description.
Know how to deal with unsafe/unsanitaryconditions or know who to notify of maintenance/sanitary issues.
Promote proper orientation job and safety training.
Maintain two weeks of departmental schedules.
Perform monthly inventories of supply needs and ensure thatdepartmental supplies are always on hand and balanced to the needs.
Engage staff daily with a 5 minute lineup discussing successesopportunities and goals.
Coordinate vendor services ordering and deliveries to maintainproper stock of supplies and condition of the property outside of the Inn.
Participate weekly in the managers meeting ownership.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must be eligible to work in the United States of America.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Ability to communicate in English both orally and writtenwith guests and employees some of whom will require high levels of patiencetact and diplomacy.
Ability to work as a part of a team and lead with aproactive not reactive leadership style.
Ability to understand verbal directions labels on chemicalsand other workplace safety signage.
Proficient in Microsoft Office RMS or similar PMS system.
Active listening and observation skills.
Ability to work under pressure and deal with deadlines and stressfulsituations during busy periods.
ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Frequent walking bending balancing stooping reachingpushing lifting manual dexterity and repetitive motions. May require the ability to work on unevenoutdoor surfaces move and arrange furniture and turn mattresses.
Frequent stair climbing.
Manually handle/lift/carry product up to 50 pounds betweenknee and shoulders.
Working in extreme temperatures and conditions both indoorsand out.
Schedule varies according to operational needs; may include earlymornings evenings weekends holidays rotating and splitshifts.
Frequent handwashing.
Hazards include but are not limited to lifting injuries exposureto unsanitary materials slips and tripping.
