ABOUT THE ROLE:
- The Senior Front End Application Developer role is responsible for designing and implementing the userfacing aspect of digital platforms such as websites across multiple device sizes. This will include creating engaging and interactive user interfaces that provide a seamless user experience and requires a foundational understanding of frontend app development programming languages tools (i.e. task runners) and delivery models (i.e. CI/CD). The incumbent will have a strong ability to work collaboratively with technical stakeholders such as Applications Development Engineering (BackEnd) and nontechnical stakeholders such as project managers business analysts and endusers to ensure the timely delivery of highquality products and solutions. They will also possess strong business and communication skills to talk both technically and functionally about products and solutions and an understanding of how to configure platforms to achieve goals for the company.
Responsibilities
WHAT THE ROLE WILL DO:
- Develop and maintain user interfaces for digital platforms using programming languages such as HTML CSS and JavaScript
- Collaborate closely with backend developers to integrate frontend functionality with serverside logic and databases
- Build reusable code and libraries for future use and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
- Ensure the seamless performance of applications on various devices and browsers
- Consult and collaborate with UX/UI designers and users to ensure interfaces are visually appealing and functional
- Communicate technical solutions effectively to nontechnical stakeholders including project teams business analysts and endusers
- Consume web services and APIs to integrate data and functionality from external sources allowing for more robust and dynamic platforms
- Stay uptodate with industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to frontend development
This position is not eligible for sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future including conversion to H1B visa.
This position has a hybrid work schedule with three days in the office and the option for working remotely two days.
Job duties include contact with other employees and access confidential and proprietary information and/or other items of value and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. The

Qualifications
Education
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field. In lieu of a degree at least 7 years of experience in frontend application development or application engineering
Skills and Experience
- 46 years of experience in software development specifically in application development engineering
- Strong knowledge of HTML CSS and JavaScript
- Experience with frontend frameworks Photoshop and/or other graphic design tools
- Understanding of crossbrowser compatibility and accessibility standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and crossfunctionally with nontechnical stakeholders
Preferred
- JavaScript TypeScript ES6 fundamentals ES and CommonJS modules
- React component lifecycle application composition
- React state management with Context Redux Zustand etc.
- Test writing with Jest Cypress React Testing Library etc.
