Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Gel Coat A performs Gel Coat spraying techniques on molds and other assemblies. Performs gel coat/paint cosmetic repairs color match gel coat structural repairs and is knowledgeable of fiberglass gelcoat lamination and painting procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Performs gel coating of deck hulls molds and small parts according to production specifications and production schedule ensuring color finish and thicknesses are adhered to.
- Cleans maintains and tests gel coating equipment to ensure it operates as required.
- Maintains a clean and environmentally safe work area.
- Remains aware and proactive in your actions regarding all health safety chemical protocols and processes.
- Removes tape and clean tape lines.
- ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITY:
- Ability to maintain and adjust gelcoat equipment
- Ability to read paperwork and follow instructions
- Knowledge and experience in the preparation evaluation and application of coating systems
