The Division
The Group Digital Capabilities (GDC) division ensures Euroclears competitiveness by deliveringreliable and sustainable IT solutions for the financial securities markets.
Our teams deliver new IT solutions and improve existing applications for both our internal and external clients and we ensure the applicative production support of those solution.
The Tribe
The StraightThroughProcessing tribe contributes to the division strategy in delivering and supporting through Agile practices costeffective timetomarket solutions for the domain of STP communication flows (transactional flows information flows reporting CRM).
We are looking for anApplication Solution Engineerto join the STP Use the Product Squad.
In the UTP context the Application Design Analyst is a point of entry for the initiatives across the Organization that impact the STP Communication layer meaning most of them! In close collaboration with the Business Analyst and the Feature Delivery Owner he/she assesses the impact of those initiatives on the STP Suite and either define the configuration changes necessary for the STP suite to cater for new flows/services or will contribute to the definition of the solution for the upgrade of the STP suite to be delivered by the relevant Asset teams in the STP Domain.
The role requires a large set of competencies & the ability to leverage them tocontribute in parallel to multiple initiatives that each follow their own timelines and constraintsin order to swiftly deliver IT solutions that meet the business need.
The Application Solution Engineer:
- Gathers information assists in the analysis of business and technical needs identifies application and systems requirements and recommends appropriate systems alternatives and/or enhancements to current systems
- Translates business and technical requirements into detailed function specifications
- Participates to estimation process providing detailed budget and workload estimates for new application development activities
- Identifies required configuration changes for the STP assets and may implement them
- Validates the outcome of the coding and testing tasks working within a team
- Supports the testing teams (problem analysis and bug fixing) during the testing phases of projects.
- Prepares communications and makes presentations on system enhancements and/or alternatives
Requirements
- A first experience as Application DevEngineer in a distributed environment with exposure to Agile methodologies; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalentbackground. Our application stack includes .Net/.Net Core Rest APIs as well as SQL Server Webapp ServiceFabrics Kafka.
- Good knowledge and understanding of the company business operations and of the communication domain specifically as well as of the IT implementation process overall
- Capacity to operate autonomously and without close supervision
- Proactive and able to estimate own workload and manage own tasks and milestones
- Adaptable able to function in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment willing to constantly evolve and improve processes flexible and able to reprioritise tasks
- A solution and customerfocused team player interested in creating a winwin situation with and being close to internal & external clients
- Good communication skills able to summarize complex technical situations in simple terms.
- Stress resistant and constructive whatever the context.
- Fluency in spoken and written English
