Summary
The Production Supervisor is responsible for the safety coordination and control of manufacturing processes ensuring production is efficient and quality expectations are met.
The individual is responsible for delivering results through the optimal use of all resources including personnel manufacturing process and materials management to support production schedules and cost improvement efforts.
Responsibilities
- Participate in all Supervisor and general Safety meetings.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines within the facility.
- Perform Toolbox Talks in your assigned departments and document training completion.
- Collaborate with Quality Scheduling and Procurement to ensure deadlines are met and customer expectations are met or exceeded.
- Organize monitor and prioritize tasks to meet production goals.
- Monitor product standards and support the implementation of qualitycontrol programs.
- Supervise direct and motivate production team to achieve a satisfactory workflow and meet production output targets.
- Coach and develop team members for professional improvement.
- Identify areas for improvement and lead training opportunities for the production team.
- Hold oneself and the team accountable to high standards of conduct and performance.
- Participate in and/or respond to AQP team investigations.
- Practice continuous improvement strategies while continually monitoring production activities (rates & yields) and support services to increase productivity and quality while reducing waste.
- Create and implement production and cost efficiency programs/processes to optimize performance and ensure production is cost effective.
- Perform production reviews as needed or when directed to ensure equipment is setup properly and the correct product is produced to customer specifications.
- Coordinate raw material flow and inventories to ensure materials required are available for use.
- Assist in the recruitment and onboarding of new hires.
- Conduct all work activity to ISO and SQF standards and procedures.

Qualifications: Required Skills Education and Experience - 5 years of experience in high volume manufacturing environment
- 2 years of experience in a lead role
- H.S. Diploma or GED required Bachelor Degree a plus
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office tools
- Advanced knowledge of manufacturing tools and equipment
- Analytical solutions focused with excellent problemsolving skills
- Selfstarter team focused strong work ethic and results driven
- Detail and quality focused
- Excellent organization communication leadership interpersonal and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications - Experience in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies a plus
- Experience with Kaizen events and training a plus
- Experience with Supply Management and Supplier Quality Assurance preferred
- OSHA Training (OSHA 10 Hour Training OSHA 30 Hour Training)
- Experience in specialty coatings and roll stock products required; preferred experience in polyester films and flexible packaging markets preferably in adhesive roll/die coating laminating and die cutting
- Bilingual a plus
