FacultyJob Description
The Department of Computational Engineering and Mathematical Sciences is seeking a parttime adjunct instructor(s) for teaching calculus and noncalculus based introductory physics lecture and laboratory for Fall 2025 in person (no online teaching option available).
Required Education and Experience:
An earned Masters degree in Physics or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution.
18 graduate hours in Physics or a closely related field.
Physics Lecture and Laboratory teaching experience. Experience as a graduate teaching assistant acceptable.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Working towards or has earned Ph.D. in Physics or related field from a regionally accredited institution.
Experience and interest in teaching undergraduates in a college/university setting.
Broad training in physics.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent presentation skills.
Interest in active and collaborative learning the instructional use of technology.
Experience with nontraditional commuter university settings.
Ability to work cooperatively with faculty and staff.
Ability to respond promptly to queries from students faculty and staff.
