As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer & Community Banking Legacy Payments team youare an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance build and deliver trusted marketleading technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. As a core technical contributor you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firms business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Executes creative software solutions design development and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Develops secure highquality production code and reviews and debugs code written by others
- Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
- Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors startups and internal teams to drive outcomesoriented probing of architectural designs technical credentials and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
- Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leadingedge technologies
- Develop and execute comprehensive project plans incorporating technical requirements resource allocation and timelines to ensure ontime delivery of technology solutions
- Identify and mitigate risks proactively addressing potential roadblocks and implementing contingency plans to maintain project and program momentum
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including engineering product and business stakeholders to define program scope objectives and deliverables ensuring alignment with overall business goals
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5 years of applied experience
- Advanced proficiency in: AWS Docker Kubernetes Jenkins GIT Ansible Terraform
- Design implement and maintain scalable reliable and secure infrastructure using cloud services and automation tools.
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable software delivery.
- Implement monitoring and logging solutions to ensure system health and performance and proactively address issues.
- Work closely with development operations and quality assurance teams to streamline processes and improve collaboration.
- Automate repetitive tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce human error.
- Ensure security best practices are followed in all aspects of infrastructure and software development.
- Provide support for production systems troubleshoot issues and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure processes and tools to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity.
