Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech Vishay Dale Electronics Columbus NE is currently seeking applicants for an Operator 2 Assembler 1st Shift. Overtime is available as needed. Responsible for producing Vishay products that meet and exceed quality and customer expectations.
Job Location:
Vishay Dale Electronics Columbus NE is one of the worlds largest manufacturers of resistors and ebeam are around 600 employees currently working in Columbus NE. We are one of the largest employers in the Columbus Area.
What you will be doing:
Identifies correct assembly procedure by analyzing pertinent information on the production ticket and traveler.
Operates Assembly machine according to proper DES.
Records information as required on the production traveler.
Maintains clean and orderly appearance in the assembly and staging area.
Performs other duties as assigned by area supervisor.
Equipment Utilization: Uses assembly equipment power supplies pushcarts and occasionally small hand tools.
Participates in continuous improvement activities.
Selects production orders with associated resistors to be assembled according to product type specifications and guidelines to promote customer service.
Engaged in the Divisions Continuous Improvement Lean program by providing evidence through the use of the JM (Job Method) 5s Audits or improvement on 8 types of waste.
Must be able to accurately interpret the information on production tickets and travelers which will determine correct processing of orders.
What you will bring along:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read write and perform arithmetic calculations.
Prior production experience is desirable.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift 20 pounds regularly and must be able to lift 30 pounds occasionally.
Assembly operator is required to stand most of the shift and needs to have the ability to push 4 wheeled carts during part of the scheduled work shift.
Good working conditions.
Occasional exposure to one or more disagreeable elements such as dust dirt fumes heat cold noise moisture or oil.
