Job Description

IMC is looking to hire a Part Time Registered Dietitian. The Dietitianis responsible for overallpatient nutritional care and outpatient nutrition counseling under the FoodService Director and Assistant Manager. Must be self guided andmotivated.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelors degree in course work approved by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education (CADE) of the American Dietetic Association (ADA).
- Proof of passing the national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
- Participates in continuing educational requirements to maintain registration.
- Louisiana Licensed dietitian status.
PRINCIPLE TASKSDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assesses patients nutritional status
- Provides appropriate patient education for inpatients
- Update diet manual and education materials
- Performance improvement input
- Cardiac / DM education classes participation
- Outpatient Nutrition Education
- Parenteral / enteral nutrition
- Helps maintain high standards of safety and sanitation through supervisors and observation
- Participates in patient care plan meetings support groups as requested or deemed necessary and Dietary Department management meetings
- Directs Diet Techs in daily duties and offers inservice education
- Accepts assigned duties(nonroutine) in a cooperative manner
