RBCIs DEis responsible for providing data assets across different parts of RBCI business organization. The team is also responsible for developing and enhancing the customer experience for accessing the datasets required for both operational and reporting needs of the organization. As a coop member youll be an integral part of our dynamic team exposed to every stage of the data engineering journeyfrom data gathering and cleaning to feature engineering and seamless productionization.We are seeking a coop who thrives on thinking outside the box delves deep into details and is passionate about exploring innovative approaches in the field of data engineering. What will you do
This role will encompass an endtoend system view for Data and Digital solutions within I&TS Data management office.
Build realtime data pipelines (inbound outbound) through containerbased solutions
Build/enhance Portal and APIs
Integrate data with Cloud based platforms publish data through APIs and Portal
Participate in Data curation requirements and support Data and Digital needs of business and technology stakeholders
Evaluate current state of data access control in regards to authentication authorization and encryption practices across I&TS systems. Develop and support remediation strategy
Work in an agile team of Data Engineers Developers
What do you need to succeed
Musthave
Knowledge of Data Engineering: Python Airflow Spark Kafka
Experience with API: NestJS Apigee Redis
SQL/Database/Visualization: Microsoft SQL Server Azure SQL Stored procedures PowerBI
Portal/analytics solutions: Angular React
Cloud and Containers: Azure (ADLS2 Azure Databricks) Openshift Docker
Strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
Nicetohave
Automation/DevOps: Jenkins Selenium and similar technologies
Source code control: GIT
Experience working in agile/SaFe environment

In order tobe eligible for these student positions you must either:
Bereturning backto school after the work term enddate; or
If you are not returning back to school ( graduating immediately after the work term) you must require the full work term as a mandatory component in order to graduate successfully
