Visy is powering the circular economy closing the loop between packaging remanufacturing and recycling. Over 75 years weve grown to 7000 employees and 150 global operations predominately in Australia and New Zealand.
Drinks in cans are cost effective and travel long distances while protecting your has the potential to be recycled over and over again without losing strength or quality. We recycle over 17000 tonnes of aluminium each year making it an important part of our closed loop approach to manufacturing.
Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager the Fitters key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Be proactive in completing preventative maintenance.
- Be reactive to breakdowns minimising downtime.
- Carry out routine checks and planned maintenance to maintain productivity of machines.
- Assist in fault finding troubleshooting and repairs of machinery.
- Maintain stock levels of spare parts to assist in making components for repairs.
- Update and maintain data records on work carried out via CMMS (MEX).
- Uphold and adhere to company policies and procedures in Environmental Health and Safety.
What you will bring to the team:
- Mechanical Trade Certificate
- Minimum 3 years industry/manufacturing/FMCG experience
- Pneumatics or Hydraulics highly desirable
- Forklift License desirable
- Own vehicle and drivers license
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Great work ethic with the ability to work autonomously or part of a team.
