SENIOR WEALTH PLANNER WEALTH MANAGEMENT ADVISORY

Description:

Supports Northern Trust Wealth Managements strategic efforts to provide a uniquely Northern Trust experience for clients and prospects who have included philanthropy as an integral part of their wealth transfer plans.

Positions Northern Trust as an industry leader in philanthropic advisory services by working across multiple disciplines to develop comprehensive philanthropic advisory deliverables in target markets and in furtherance of the strategic objectives of Wealth Management.

Serves as a resource for Advisory Services Family Education and Governance Philanthropic Advisory Services Next Gen Advisory Private Foundation Administration Services and Family Office Solutions.

Major Duties:

Develops resources (e.g. primers case studies white papers) designs and implements family education and philanthropy programs that deepen philanthropic literacy promote strategic giving and support families across generations in navigating values alignment legacy planning effective philanthropy and intergenerational transitions in leadership and decisionmaking. Leads client meetings facilitated discussions retreats and workshops including preparing agendas and managing followup communications. Conducts research and keeps abreast of new and existing philanthropic strategies the nonprofit sector and wealth planning for highnetworth individuals. Initiates client communications to add value to existing client relationships and responds to inquiries from clients prospective clients and internal partners by providing the requested information products services and training. Provides content for sales and marketing and participates in sales and marketing activities and provides subject area expertise commentary for media coverage. Adheres to applicable regulatory risk management and compliance best practices and requirements. Actively engages in the cultivation of professional advisor relationships with regular attendance and presentations at industry and professional programs and conferences.

Qualifications

Significant experience working with highnetworth individuals and families specifically in the areas of family education and governance charitable giving strategies and philanthropy.

The successful candidate will benefit from having the following competencies:

  • Interpersonal skills required to work collaboratively with highnetworth individuals families family office staff nonprofit organizations and professional advisors including estate planning attorneys and investment managers.
  • 710 years of experience working with highnet worth individuals and a strong understanding of family dynamics wealth management governance and philanthropy.
  • Understands legal financial and regulatory environments related to philanthropic contributions including but not limited to trusts estates donor advised funds and legacy giving.
  • Adaptive professional skills in working in a team environment to provide a customized client experience in collaboration with internal and external partners and advisors.
  • Analytic organizational and communication skills required to research and resolve inquiries and coordinate and manage conflicting priorities multiple projects and significant and varied workflow.
  • Strong writing and presentation skills required for client presentations internal training and to support the development of marketing and sales materials for existing and prospective clients.
  • A high degree of integrity humility and cultural competency.
  • Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy CAP Certified Impact Philanthropy Advisor Masters and/or JD designations are highly preferred.

Salary Range:

$USD

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay.
