Materials Management and Transportation Manager (Level M)

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for Materials Management and Transportation Manager (Level M) to join our 737 Fulfillment team in Renton WA.

The selected candidate will be working in a very dynamic fastpaced environment while learning new skills solving challenging problems and experiencing opportunities to grow in the SC organization. This position is supplier facing and will be responsible for managing the relationship with external suppliers and project managing all aspects of their performance.

The 737 Fulfillment Manager will lead a team supporting both enterprise level initiatives and implementing high visibility supply chain focused projects develops and executes integrated organizational plans and solutions to enable business objectives.

The successful candidate is someone who can join and lead teams understand the strategic aspect of the organization and associated initiatives work in a complex organization and can demonstrate their knowledge of the company and multiple functional subject areas to meet supply chain management goals and our internal and external customers expectations. Candidates must be able to translate strategic goals into tactical actions that are understandable to the team. The candidate must be willing to work second shift.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages and integrates employee and midlevel manager activities across more than one area in materials management and transportation.
  • Develops and executes integrated organizational plans policies and procedures and guides the development of business and technical strategies goals objectives.
  • Acquires resources for organizational activities provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers stakeholders peers partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches products and processes. Manages develops and motivates employees and midlevel managers.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • 10 years of experience in Boeing Manufacturing Operation functions (Manufacturing Materials Management Manufacturing Engineering Supply Chain Operations)
  • 10 years of experience managing or leading people or teams preferably leading both salary and hourly personnel
  • 10 years of experience leading or managing projects that involved crossfunctional or crossbusiness unit teams
  • 10 years of experience as proven leader with strong interpersonal verbal and written communication skills
  • 10 years of experience with Microsoft Office Products such as Outlook PowerPoint Excel and Word

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):

  • 10 years of experience in Inventory Management or Supply Chain processes and techniques
  • 10 years of experience with warehousing and logistics
  • 10 years of experience in a role that involves strategic planning and risk identification
  • 10 years of experience leading or managing process improvement projects
  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain business or related field
