Job Description

SUMMARY

Under the direction of a Licensed SpeechLanguage Pathologist (SLP) the Speech Language Pathologist Assistant will assist in providing speech therapy services to special education students in accordance with the Individualized Education Program (IEP); maintain records and documentation on students and perform related duties as required

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma or G.E.D.

Current Speech Language Pathology Assistant Certificate

Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.

Any equivalent combination of experience training or education.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

One year of experience providing direct therapy to language/speech impaired individuals in a clinical or educational setting.

Associate degree in speechlanguage pathology

Experience working with schoolaged children.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE

Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles) or proof of MMR immunization. Must hold a current

Must hold a current Drivers license and personal vehicle insurance coverage greater than or equal to the staterequired minimum for car insurance as described under Governing Board Policy: EEBR1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services Transportation by Employees.

Reliable mode of personal transportation with evidence of auto insurance policy. Coverage must be valid throughout the term of employment.

FTE: 1.0 7.5hours per day
Work Calendar:10 month

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
