The opportunity
Stop Loss insuranceprotects our clientsagainst the risk that comes with fundingmedical and prescriptionhealthbenefits. As a Stop Loss Underwriter you will evaluate price propose and recommend appropriate products for new business. You will provide guidance to your sales team to manage new and existing business using underwriting guidelines and authority limits.
How you will contribute
- Build effective relationships with inside sales field agents and brokers to provide critical support during all phases of the sales process.
- Utilize customer data industry demographics and standard underwriting criteria to assess risk and provide proper Stop Loss pricing for new business.
- Ensure the entry of complete and accurate customer data.
- Manage assigned workload to meet internal productivity and time service standards as well as field office priorities.
- Contribute to Sun Lifes continuous improvement culture by playing a role in identifying opportunities to evolve best practices workflows and procedures.
