Unity Lab Services provides a single source for integrated lab service support and supply management. Our customized service offerings and premier service experts have the flexibility and experience to uniquely address our customers laboratorys business needs. Position located in Rahway NJ.


Discover Impactful Work:
The Chemical Managment Specialist will make an impact by following well defined procedures as outlined by Best Practices SOPs & work instructions. Listening attentively to customer concerns swiftly address dissatisfaction and quickly identify a resolution strategy to aim for a firstcall solution within the designated response times.

A Day in the Life:

  • Take direction from Site Supervisor/Manager (and Team Lead) regarding daily duties.

  • Independently make decisions and apply available resources to meet customer requirements.

  • Analyze/maintain/reconcile various reports to ensure customer and ULS requirements are met.

  • Show strength at capturing communicating and explaining job or sitespecific performance metrics.

  • Communicate with supervisor any customer issues or potential problems.

  • Foster personal growth and development by keeping uptodate with new policies and improvements independently of the site trainer and management team.

  • Function optimally within a diverse crossfunctional team.

  • Embrace Practical Process Improvement (PPI) methodologies.

  • Access & apply Thermo Fisher Scientifics Intranet and SharePoint document management system.

  • Always represent Thermo Fisher Scientific positively across all customer locations.

  • Carry out additional duties as required.

JobSpecific Duties:

  • General Customer Service.

  • Stockroom/POU Management.

  • Perform onsite program replenishment and disbursements.

  • Oversee and assess stock rotation procedures.

  • Maintain and evaluate inventory records monthly.

  • Conduct Cycle Count inventory procedures accurately and ensure timely completion.

  • Monitor inventory in consignment/customer owned stockroom daily.

Keys to Success

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience

  • 12 years of similar experience preferred.

Knowledge Skills Abilities

  • Demonstrated customer service verbal written and presentation skills.

  • Demonstrates ability to read write and speak English fluently using strong communication skills and desire to deliver excellent customer service including maintaining a professional appearance in all interactions and upholding Thermo Fisher Scientifics values.

  • Possesses the interpersonal skills to be able to collaborate with various levels of Thermo Fisher personnel & customers.

  • Operates handheld scanners and performs data entry function.

  • Demonstrates computer proficiency and possess intermediate skills in Microsoft Office suite of software.

  • Uses organizational skills to multitask and meet due dates as needed.
