$1213 per 1 credit with upward adjustment for years of service at Marist University. Pay may vary depending on credits pertaining to online graduate music or lab courses.

Job Summary:

The School of Science at Marist University is pleased to invite applications for PartTime Faculty in the Department of Biology for theacademic year. In the fall semester the Department is searching for qualified individuals to teach General Biology I a course covering the scientific method the chemical and cellular basis of life energy transformations DNA structure and replication protein synthesis and cell division. In the spring semester instructors are sought for General Biology II a course covering the scientific method transmission genetics and inheritance evolution and ecological relationships. These classes require instructors to teach inperson one lecture section (two 75minute meetings per week) and one associated lab section (one 165minute meeting per week). We also seek qualified individuals to teach inperson lectureonly biology courses for nonscience majors such as Topics in Biology Human Biology and Life on Earth.

This class requires instructors to teach and inperson one lecture section (two 75minute meetings per week) and one associated lab section (one 165minute meeting per week). The successful candidate will join a department characterized by a strong sense of community in which students are the central focus and faculty who are both accessible and approachable.

Essential Functions:

Effectively teach ontheground General Biology I and/or II Topics in Biology or other nonmajors biology course(s) to help achieve departmentallydetermined student learning outcomes.
