Contracts and Pricing Strategy Manager Oncology Innovative Brands

What you will do

The Contracts and Pricing Strategy Manager Oncology Business Unit (OBU) Innovative Brands is a vital member of the U.S. Value & Access organization responsible for developing and executing pricing and payer coverage contracting strategies to achieve OBUs objectives for both inline and pipeline assets. This role involves conducting comprehensive quantitative and qualitative analyses partnering with finance to evaluate the impact of contracting strategies on sales volume discount rates and longterm planning. By synthesizing crossfunctional data the Pricing Manager supports scenario planning and generates actionable customer insights to inform decisionmaking.

In this dynamic environment the OBU Pricing Manager collaborates with Market Access and contracting teams to negotiate coverage and pricing agreements while engaging extensively with stakeholders across Value Strategy & Marketing Patient Access Data & Analytics Sales Brand Marketing Government Affairs Trade & Distribution Finance and Legal. The Contracts and pricing strategy manager accomplishes this by:

  • Lead all aspects of the OBU Latest Estimate Discount Rate (LEDR) process pricing and contracting scenarios contract decisions and LRS (longrange strategy) management
  • Support inputs for major US (brand planning quarterly business reviews access strategy alignment semester meetings) and Global milestones including collaborating with Global Access Leads on product strategy
  • Lead predeal analytics for OBU products to determine viability profitability and recommendations regarding future coverage scenarios
  • In this dynamic and fastpaced environment the candidate will be a key support for the contracting teams for coverage and pricing negotiations
  • Lead US V&A launch planning execution and leadership reviews for perilaunch assets
  • Gather analyze and synthesize crossfunctional information across a variety of sources to support scenarioplanning and customer insight development.
  • Will interact cross functionally with Value Strategy & Marketing Ecosystems & Insights Commercial Brand Marketing Government Affairs Trade & Distribution Business Unit Leadership Finance Accounting and Legal.
  • Support CIQ (deal making platform) activities and maintaining contract performance trackers
  • Support slide deck/materials development for key strategic meetings as needed
  • Constructively challenge teams by providing disconfirming information and encouraging innovative problem solving

The ideal candidate will have meaningful US Value & Access experience (oncology experience preferred) and be able to work in a matrix environment across various levels including senior executives. Additionally this individual should have knowledge of US market access landscape including an understanding of medical and pharmacy benefit design coverage and reimbursement in the US.

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree

Or

Masters degree and 2 years of sales and marketing operations and/or pricing experience

Or

Bachelors degree and 4 years of sales and marketing operations and/or pricing experience

Or

Associates degree and 8 years of sales and marketing operations and/or pricing experience

Or

High school diploma / GED and 10 years of sales and marketing operations and/or pricing experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in contracts and pricing; have a good foundational understanding of the US provider & payor environment.
  • Excellent conceptual problemsolving skills with demonstrated ability to bring structure to vaguely defined problems pragmatic approach to problem solving and manage execution.
  • Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to influence different styles
  • Previous experience building financial models and/or working with large amounts of data
  • Experience navigating the evolving U.S. healthcare system with specific interest on the interactions between Government and Healthcare.
  • Exceptional written/oral communication skills and executive presence across functions and across different levels of leadership

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to relevant skills experience and qualifications.
