As Senior Network Automation Engineer you will help transform how infrastructure is designed deployed and managedaccelerating efficiency across Modernas global network landscape. Youll bring your advanced automation expertise to drive operational excellence streamline provisioning and configuration tasks and support integration across cloud and ITSM platforms.
Your work will span the automation of network and system functions bridging onpremises and cloud environments. This is a deeply handson technical role ideal for someone passionate about building the future of intelligent infrastructure. Youll also have the chance to interact with Generative AI tools and solutions that are increasingly being incorporated into our digital ecosystem.
Heres What Youll Do:
Your key responsibilities will be:
Design implement and manage network automation frameworks using Ansible Tower Python and Infrastructure as Code principles.
Automate provisioning policy enforcement and configuration processes across complex multivendor environments.
Integrate automation capabilities with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow and JIRA as well as observability tools like Splunk and Kentik.
Develop selfservice portals to simplify operational tasks and improve efficiency.
Apply expertlevel networking knowledge to support routing switching wireless VPN firewalls and security automation solutions.
Your responsibilities will also include:
Lead systems automation efforts spanning server configuration compliance enforcement and cloud network integration.
Build robust playbooks scripts and workflows to drive endtoend infrastructure automation.
Troubleshoot complex automation failures and ensure optimal performance and uptime of global networks.
Document frameworks processes and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and scale best practices.
Mentor colleagues on automation strategies and emerging technologies fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Heres What Youll Need (Basic Qualifications)
8 years of experience in network operations or engineering with a focus on network automation and scripting.
Expertise in Ansible Tower Python and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate and optimize network infrastructure.
Strong knowledge of network engineering concepts including routing switching firewalls VPN and network security.
Handson experience with multivendor networking environments (e.g. Cisco Palo Alto Networks Infoblox Arista).
Experience with REST APIs JSON/YAML and automation frameworks for integrating systems and improving workflows.
Familiarity with ITSM tools (e.g. ServiceNow JIRA) and monitoring platforms (e.g. Splunk Kentik Dynatrace) for automationdriven operations.
Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to troubleshoot automation and network issues effectively.
Heres What Youll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications):
Experience in biotech pharmaceutical or healthcare environments is a plus. If no prior GxP experience the candidate should be capable of quickly learning GxP compliance requirements for automation and infrastructure.
Proficiency in Terraform Git CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies for infrastructure automation.
Industry certifications such as Cisco DevNet CCNP PCNSE or equivalent networking and automation credentials.
A passion for continuous learning emerging automation trends and operational efficiency.
Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work across crossfunctional teams and influence automation adoption.
