About the Team:
The Capital Studio forms part of the widerInfrastructure and Capital Delivery team within Resident and Enabling Service. The Teams main objective is to deliver projects on behalf of internal clients e.g. Transport Sustainability Parks for the benefit of Lambeth residents and visitors to the borough.
About the Role:
The key task is to be responsible for ensuring that an internal and external supply chain deliver a portfolio of high profile complex capital and noncapital Highway Asset Improvement Projects alongside Parks projects each up to 10m in value to specified outputs within budget at the agreed time to the specified quality. The postholder will be required to establish and work closely with extensive internal and external supply chains and stakeholders.
To be considered for interview your CV and supporting statement will clearly evidence:
- Project Management accreditation or excellent knowledge of the processes that lie behind successful project management.
- Knowledge of business planning at strategic level and service improvements within a council environment.
- Minimum 3 years experience in a local government environment with evidence of managing and delivering capital projects in particular Active Travel and Highways maintenance projects.
- Proven contract management skills and experience of managing delivery through Term Partnering Contracts NEC and JCT.
- Strong financial awareness and able to periodically report and present spend on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Work in accordance with CDM 2015 regulations and other statutory requirements.
- Extensive experience of writing detailed reports and business cases and able to present complex issues to a variety of audiences in written or verbal formats.
- Experience of networking at all levels with the ability to build relationships to achieve objectives and improve business processes and delivery.
- Experience of using a wide range of management project and analysis tools for the preparation/presentation of information.
- Excellent time management skills with proven experience of dealing with a variety of highly complex work streams and projects prioritising as required.
