Who is Rainforest
Rainforest is an early stage paymentsasaservice startup that has developed a solution that makes monetizing payments for vertically focused software platforms fair and simple.
We focus on smalltomid sized platforms that want to add value to their small business customers through embedded payments and want to do so without adding operational or regulatory burdens or costs.
Led by a successful repeat fintech founder with deep knowledge of the industry and with venture backing from a Top 10 VC firm Rainforest is well positioned to make an impact in the paymentsasaservice space and were looking for new team members who want to be a part of this journey!
The Role:
As a Team Lead Engineer youll be expected to fill a true playercoach role. From providing support management and leadership to the members of the Experience team to driving technical initiatives in our code base we are looking for someone who can build features as well as grow our team members. The Experience team focuses on the clientfacing web components side of the Rainforest product and is a true fullstack team using Go Vue and AWS.
What Will You Do:
Build product at an earlystage company where youll be building things from scratch instead of refactoring decadesold code
Ensure high availability and security of the product so that billions of customer funds can move seamlessly
Strategically think and scope out features on our Experience side in collaboration with Product and Engineering leadership that impact the longterm growth of the company
Work directly 1:1 with direct reports on growth strategies opportunities for continued success as well as on their technical acumen
Collaborate on the interview hiring and onboarding strategies as we continue to build out our engineering department more
Who You Are:
6 years as a Software Engineer or within a similar role at a SaaS payments or technology company experience with payments technology is a plus!
Proven time spent managing and leading a team of midtosenior level engineers
Experience with fullstack web development leveraging cloud technologies
Proactive and collaborative approach with the ability to partner closely with product operations risk and finance
Demonstrated ability to work within an agile team structure in a collaborative manner
Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience in the areas of Information Science Computer Science or related disciplines
