The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Commercial Airplane BCA Systems Organization is seeking a high performing Engineering Manager BCA Systems (Level K). This role will support the MechanicalHydraulic Systems organization by leading the MechHyd Electrical Control & Indication Team at the Everett Washington location.
Position Overview:
The manager will lead and motivate a team of employees involved in engineering and regulatory tasks related to various areas including brake control systems antiskid/autobrake tire pressure indication brake temperature monitoring landing gear/door actuation electrical control and indication landing gear steering electrical control and indication and hydraulic electrical components. These projects revolve around translating concepts and highlevel requirements into specific electrical indication and control architectures operational specifications and the physical integration of components/systems into our complex airplanes. The team will handle aircraft systems throughout their entire life cycle from initial concept development to certification production and inservice support. Our focus is on continuously advancing the state of the art in commercial air transport.
Candidates for this position should be adept at providing technical and project management support to both Boeing employees and suppliers. They should also possess strong skills in leading process improvement initiatives and utilizing agile methods to manage team workload and resources effectively. Building and maintaining positive relationships with customers stakeholders peers partners and direct reports is crucial for success in this role.
Position Responsibilities:
Manages employees performing engineering and technical tasks across the range of Boeing Commercial Airplane products including:P8 VC25B & KC46A.
The position includes responsibility for developing and executing project and process plans implementing policies and procedures setting operational goals for the team and acquiring financial and technical resources.
Validate designs through both laboratory and airplane testing.
Provides technical & project management oversight of suppliers.
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers stakeholders peers partners and direct reports.
Provides oversight and approval of approaches to compliance with regulatory requirements and certification processes.
Leads and fosters process improvements.
Mentor develop and motivate direct reports.
Develops and maintains a culture of seeking to understand courage to speak up active listening and servant leadership to manage develop and motivate employees.
Work Authorization:
This position is expected to be 100% selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Everett WA.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology) chemistry physics mathematics data science or computer science.
5 years of experience in an engineering discipline.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):
3 years of experience in the development integration and verification of aircraft systems
1 years of experience leading teams in a formal and /or informal leadership role
Masters Degree in an engineering related field or Business Administration (MBA)
Experience with Agile project management methods
Experience with electrical systems design and circuit analysis
Experience with modelbased development tools & programming languages (CATIA Matlab Simulink Spice C C Python etc)
Experience with motors sensors solenoids switches control communication power and other electromechanical systems or electronic systems.
Knowledge of FAA / EASA certification
