Job Summary:
The Admission Counselor position at Marist University is a dynamic entrylevel position that focuses on the engagement and recruitment of prospective students. The Admission Counselor is primarily responsible for speaking to prospective students and their families about Marist through inperson and virtual high school visits college fairs information sessions and campus visits. They review applications to the University and engage in active participation in yield activities to ensure the enrollment of an exceedingly talented and diverse class. This position also includes an opportunity to travel to key high schools in an assigned territory and to interact with students parents high school counselors and alumni.
The Admission Counselor conducts information sessions on campus and virtually confers with admitted students/families and contributes to the success of numerous visitation/recruitment programs. They will also have collegial interaction with several internal University offices and external partners. The position may also include supervision and mentorship of Marist student employees and recruitment of specific cohorts of students in support of University enrollment goals. They will also have developmental opportunities in special projects in partnership with the Senior Associate Director of Admission the Director of Admissions or other senior leaders.
Interviewing is expected to begin at the end of April 2025 with an anticipated start date in June 2025.
