3. Education and Experience:
High school diploma high school certificate of completion or G.E.D.
Certificate
Prior to employment: must have completed at least two years of study
at an institution of higher education or obtained an associates or
higher degree or met a rigorous standard of quality through a formal
state assessment (Kentucky Paraeducator Assessment) and local academic
assessment (TABE test).
4. Licenses and Other Requirements:
Valid Kentucky drivers license
Have dependable transportation

SUPERVISES: NA
BASIC FUNCTION: Perform routine clerical duties in support of a specific program; assist program specialists coordinators principals and others in the implementation of program objectives and activities.
REPRESENTATIVE PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Performs responsible duties in support of a specific program at the District or school site level.
2. Works closely with other program personnel to coordinate activities and assures compliance with program and District directives.
3. Provides various services and implements functions for the program involving direct or indirect contact with students parents outside program officials regulatory agencies and others.
4. Provides input to Districtwide reports for an assigned program.
5. Monitors files and records regarding participants students parents proper statistics and data and other matters.
6. Reviews and monitors program as assigned at specific sites; makes classroom observations diagnoses problems and provides for proper resolution.
7. Represents the assigned program at District school and community meetings and conferences as directed.
8. Analyzes program material and provides input for modification as required; reviews application from participants and determines program eligibility.
collects and compiles data as directed to develop reports; analyzes data and suggests implications.
10. Responsibilities Specific to HCPS Assignment:
A. Attends and participates in all project training activities for
project staff.
B. Develops work schedule with input from Project Coordinator and
school personnel to meet the educational needs and time
requirements of eligible participants.
C. Oversees all job placements in assigned districts.
D. Works with classroom teachers and adult education staff to carry
out project plan for participants.
E. Works with local business and industry to develop mentoring
shadowing and workbased job placements.
F. Participates in staff training events and monthly planning
sessions with the Project Coordinator.
G. Assists students in career awareness and exploration activities.
H. Cultivates new and innovative job placements based on student
interests and ability level.
I. Identifies students and job sites in need of supportive services.
J. Provides onsite job coaching with each individual with
disabilities receiving job training and placement.
K. Keeps student folders and pertinent information up to date and
confidential.
L. Provides support and data collection as required for the project
evaluation.
M. Compiles and prepares reports on individual students for
Department of Vocational Rehabilitation.
11. Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as the Superintendent may require.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary and work year to be established by the Superintendent and Board.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Boards policy on Evaluation of Support Services Personnel.
