Job Description

Central Maine Healthcare is seeking a FullTime Medical Assistant Instructor to join our team!
Essential Duties:
- Collaborates with key stakeholders to support course planning instructional delivery budget and classroom management for the MA program.
- Teach required classroom lab and clinical hours in accordance with certification standards and programmatic requirements.
- Participate in the recruitment and selection of program participants.
- Develop and distribute syllabi lesson plans and learning objectives for each course.
- Maintain current knowledge of national standards for MA certification and ensure curriculum compliance.
- Coordinate clinical schedules and supervise clinical education to ensure alignment with required competencies.
- Recommend curriculum improvements and modifications based on student outcomes industry trends and regulatory changes.
- Maintain program and instructor certifications and professional development in accordance with state and national standards.
Education and Experience:
- Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA RMA or CCMA) required.
- Associates degree required; Bachelors degree preferred.
- Experience as a Medical Assistant in an outpatient or clinical healthcare setting.
- Prior teaching or clinical educator experience preferred.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) phlebotomy EKG and administrative procedures required.
- CPR certification required (AHA BLS); ACLS/PALS preferred.
