Position Summary:
A Senior Accountant is an experienced finance professional responsible for leading accounting operations within a specific area of expertise creating and monitoring financial reporting identifying risks and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. They play a strategic role often leading significant accounting projects and initiatives.
As a Sr. Accountant you will be responsible for the preparation and accuracy of financial accounting records. Assists in the timely preparation of financial and managerial reports which fairly and accurately reflect the financial position of the entity. Play an integral role in the development implementation and maintenance of the Companys financial accounting systems. Identify and maintain sound internal controls to protect and preserve the Companys assets and financial records.
The role:
Responsible for recording monitoring and reporting accounting activity journal entries.
Responsible for monthly ledger close and preparation of accounting schedules that support ledger balances.
Assist in the preparation of the Companys monthly financial statements (balance sheet profit and loss) and variance analyses.
Ensures procedures and internal controls are followed in compliance with SarbanesOxley initiatives.
Identifies and implements innovative processes to enhance the timeliness and accuracy of the monthly ledger closing process.
Maintains account analyses monthly that are clearly organized and easily accessible to management.
Ensures consistent application of general accepted accounting principles as related to general accounting activities.
Provides management with meaningful accurate and timely financial information and reports as requested.
Involved in annual audit process prepare audit schedules as needed and liaise with auditors.
Assist with special ad hoc projects as assigned.
What you bring to the role:
4year college degree (or additional relevant experience in a related field).
Minimum 5 years functional experience including a minimum of 3 years of public accounting experience.
Active Certified Accounting Professional (CPA)
Advanced proficiency in Excel and other MS applications; financial systems reporting tools and complex financial modeling; SAP familiarity preferred.
Manage and lead simultaneously complex accounting projects/processes ensuring timely and accurate completion.
Contribute to the organizations financial strategy by providing highlevel insights and recommendations.
Professional individual contributor able to work independently with limited supervision.
Coaches and reviews the work of lowerlevel professionals.
Complex and challenging problemsolving skills.
Influences others regarding policies practices and procedures.
Provides solutions to a variety of complex technical and business matters.
Will champion significant projects programs and business initiatives using demonstrated creativity and ingenuity.
May assist more junior staff members with aspects of their job.
Incumbents provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in his/her area of specialization.
Generally free to determine work priorities based on general direction from managers.

The ranges above reflect the potential annual base pay across the U.S. for all roles; the applicable base pay range will depend on the candidates primary work location pay grade and variable compensation plan. Individual base pay within each range depends on various factors in addition to primary work location such as complexity and responsibility of role job duties/requirements and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time of hire. New hires starting base pay generally falls in the bottom half (between the minimum and midpoint) of a pay range.
