So what are we looking for We are seeking a highly skilled and customerfocused OnSite Technical Support Specialist for a contract role to assist client with their needs on a daytoday basis in providing overall management oversight and ongoing maintenance of these existing audio visual and control system resources. This role requires strong problemsolving abilities the ability to work independently or as part of a team and effective communication with clients and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of AV control systems network connectivity and system diagnostics. What are your responsibilities Customer Service - Meet with clients (event organizer or end user) to understand specific audiovisual requirements.
- Be the Primary point of contact for all audiovisual equipment and videoconference needs.
- Operate audiovisual systems during meetings or events when an AV operator/technician is required.
- Support and/or initiate video conference calls.
- Provide emergency problem resolution when necessary.
- Provide remote support for other GSOCs as required. (San Jose CA and Scottsdale AZ)
Administrative - Provide maintenance and upgrade recommendations and suggest potential preventative maintenance such as replacing lamps or upgrading projectors.
- Follow defined client ordering process for the replenishment of AV or conference room equipment supplies as necessary.
- Update documentation
- Conduct training for new personnel and refresher training is needed
- Document all work in PayPals ServiceNow instance.
- Assist with gathering requirements for AV enhancements and document the requirements in PayPals ServiceNow instance to be actions by PayPal leadership team.
Maintenance & Repair - Perform daily room inspections to verify optimal system performance.
- Organize clean and maintain all audiovisual equipment.
- Work efficiently to coordinate equipment maintenance additional audiovisual equipment rentals or any other services that may be needed for specific audiovisual presentation events.
- Troubleshoot diagnose and resolve audiovisual equipment malfunctions.
- Assist with addressing computer issues.
- Assist with testing new computers added to the AV solution.
- Help create an environment of backup computer systems to provide for a more dynamic environment.
- Develop and implement systematic power cycle planning for AV systems.
- Develop and implement a plan to maintain firmware updates as needed on AV system components.
