Job Description
Education & Experience:
You must be enrolled in a BSN or MSN program from an accredited school of professional nursing within six months of hire or rehire and graduate on or before the third employment anniversary date into a nursing position. * BSN or MSN graduates preferred
*Grandfathered Exemption of Educational Requirement:
Hired on or before May 31 2013 IMC
Hired on or before August 4 2015 IMCW
Hired on or before May 31 2023 IMCM
Oneyear clinical experience required.
Two (2) years ED experience preferred for per diem positions.
Certification/Licensure:
Current licensure with New Jersey State Board of Nursing.
American Heart Association BLS required.
American Heart Association ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
American Heart Association PALS required within 6 months of hire.
CPI initial for new hires to be completed within the introductory period and renewal every 18 months.
Cardiac dysrhythmia required within 6 months of hire.
Critical Care Course within 1 year (or 2 years CC experience or current CEN).
Completion of the Trauma Nurse Core Courses taught by the Emergency Nurses Association within 12 months of initial assignment or followed by a minimum of 8 contact hours of education every two (2) years in trauma assessment intervention and stabilization.
National Certification in specialty area preferred.
