Quality Manager Quality Workplace Coaches (Level K)

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for Quality Managers (Level K) to lead a team of Quality Workplace Coaches (QWPCs) based out of Everett Renton or Seattle Washington.

As the Quality Manager your primary responsibility will be to ensure the delivery of highquality mentoring to our elite coaches ensuring their effectiveness and success. You will lead a team across the MBU providing support and guidance to Quality Inspectors in performing their jobs confidently and efficiently. Your background will enable our business to embrace and enhance the One BPS culture tools and key performance indicators throughout our BCA QWPCs.

Close collaboration with local Manufacturing Workplace Coaches Managers and MBU Quality leaders will be essential to this position. This leader will actively engage with the Quality MBU assisting in determining daily priorities and resource allocation as well as attending MBU Quality staff meetings. Working closely with the training department the Quality Manager will gather improvement ideas directly from floor Quality Inspectors and QWPC coaching sessions.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees who have technical knowledge and leadership in their field of expertise within Quality; who help Quality Inspectors that evaluate and ensure that products services and processes comply with customer contract requirements engineering requirements company procedures and government regulations.

  • Develops and executes business plans policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies to improve performance.

  • Provides education mentoring and coaching on the Quality Management System.

  • Acquires and manages resources and leads process improvements.

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers stakeholders peers partners suppliers and direct reports.

  • Manages develops and motivates employees.

This position is expected to be 100% selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location(s).

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5 years of experience in Quality Management System (QMS)

  • 5 years of experience working within a manufacturing production environment.

  • 3 years of experience with Microsoft Office Applications (Word Excel and PowerPoint).

  • 1 years of experience leading a team formal or informally.

  • 1 years of experience in a coaching and training environment

  • Ability to work any shift based on the needs of the operation.

  • Willing and able to travel 10% of the time

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in root cause analysis/systematic problem solving

  • Excellent communication skills
