M&J Engineering is a leader in construction management and inspection ITS mechanical electrical wastewater water supply tunnel airport port marine/coastal environmental engineering and designbuild services for both new infrastructure projects and renovations.
M&J Engineering is seeking a highly experienced Senior Program/Project Manager WMATA to lead and support construction management services (CMS) for Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing WMATA capital programs or direct prior employment at WMATA with a deep understanding of its operational standards safety protocols and stakeholder environment.
This role involves serving as the Owners Representative overseeing complex infrastructure and systems projects ensuring compliance with WMATAspecific requirements and delivering highquality results on time and within budget.

Responsibilities
- Lead the planning execution and oversight of WMATArelated construction and maintenance projects.
- Serve as the primary liaison between M&J Engineering WMATA subcontractors and other stakeholders.
- Manage project schedules budgets and documentation in alignment with WMATA protocols.
- Conduct field inspections to ensure quality safety and regulatory compliance.
- Review and approve technical specifications drawings change orders and invoices.
- Maintain detailed records and prepare reports tailored to WMATAs reporting standards.
- Supervise field staff and ensure adherence to WMATAs safety and operational guidelines.
- Coordinate with WMATA departments including Capital Delivery Safety and Operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil Engineering Architecture Construction Management or related field.
- P.E. license preferred
- 1015 years of construction project management experience with significant experience on WMATA projects.
- Prior employment at WMATA or direct collaboration with WMATA teams is strongly preferred.
- Indepth knowledge of WMATAs project delivery processes safety standards and documentation protocols.
- Strong understanding of mechanical electrical and structural systems in transit environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects across various WMATA facilities.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must pass background screening.
- Ability to work on active construction sites and in variable environmental conditions.
Compensation:
- Salary Range: $150000 $200000 annually
