About the team
Working on BlackRocks investment operating system Aladdin. Aladdin is used both internally and externally by many financial institutions. Aladdin combines sophisticated risk analytics with comprehensive portfolio management trading and operations tools on a single platform to power informed decisionmaking and build connective tissue for thousands of users investing worldwide.
Our development teams sit inside Aladdin Engineering. We collaboratively build the next generation of technology that changes the way information people and technology intersect for global investment firms. We build and package tools that manage trillions of assets and support millions of financial instruments. We perform risk calculations and process millions of transactions for thousands of users every day worldwide!
About you

About the role
Deliver high efficiency high availability concurrent and faulttolerant software systems
Lead individual project priorities deadlines and deliverables using AGILE methodologies
Significantly chip into the development of Aladdins global multiasset trading platform
Work with product management and business users to define the roadmap for the product
Design and develop innovative solutions to sophisticated problems identifying issues and roadblocks
Qualifications
2 years of handson experience in Java/Spring Framework/Sprint Boot
Indepth understanding of concurrent programming and experience in designing high throughput high availability faulttolerant distributed applications
Some experience in building distributed applications using SQL and/or NOSQL technologies like MS SQL or Redis is a plus
Experience designing and building scalable services using APIFirst principles using at least one of REST/gPRC
Experience in message brokers such as Kafka is a plus
Exposure to Docker Kubernetes and cloud services is beneficial.
Strong analytical and software architecture design skills with an emphasis on testdriven development
Proven experience building modern software using engineering tools such as git maven unit testing and integration testing tools and mocking frameworks.
Effective communication and presentation skills (written and verbal) are required
Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science or Engineering preferred.

Our hybrid work model
