The Vall dHebron Research Institute (VHIR) is a public institution that promotes and develops research innovation and biosanitary teaching at Vall dHebron University Hospital. In collaboration with the International Health Center Drassanes we are seeking a Community Health Agent to work on a project aimed at the prevention promotion screening and treatment of migrant populations in vulnerable situations regarding diseases of mandatory reporting.
Education and qualifications:
Required:
- Education: Minimum Secondary Education Certificate (ESO) or equivalent.
- Languages: Fluency in Catalan Spanish Morocco languages (arab french).
Desired:
- Additional training in cultural mediation or community health.
Experience and knowledge:
Required:
- At least 1 year of experience in cultural mediation or community work with migrant populations.
- Knowledge of the social and cultural reality of the Moroccan community in Girona and Catalonia.
- Interpersonal and communication skills.
Desired:
- Previous experience in projects related to health infectious diseases or public health.
Main responsibilities and duties:
- Act as a liaison between healthcare professionals and the Moroccan community to facilitate communication and cultural understanding.
- Participate in health promotion prevention and screening activities related to diseases of mandatory reporting (TB ).
- Support the organization of workshops campaigns and other initiatives targeted at the intended population.
- Collect information and assist in the followup of identified cases.
- Provide support for administrative tasks related to the project.
Labour conditions:
- Parttime position: 08h/week
- Starting date: final May 2025
- Gross annual salary: To be determined based on experience and skills in accordance with the VHIR Collective Agreement pay scale.
- Contract: Temporary (until October 2025)
