Job Description
Job Title: Communications and Marketing Officer
Rate of Pay: 20.58 per hour
Location: Based in Newry or Downpatrick with travel across the district
Hours: Fulltime (flexibility required)
Reporting To: Head of Communications and Marketing
Car User: Casual
Role Overview:
Provide professional communications and marketing support across all departments delivering effective internal and external campaigns that align with organisational strategy. The role requires flexibility to adapt to ongoing structural changes.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver and support internal and external communications strategies.

Manage media relations PR activities and respond to press enquiries.

Create and edit content for digital platforms including website intranet and social media.

Support branding marketing campaigns and printed materials production.

Assist in crisis communications and emergency response messaging.

Monitor and evaluate campaign performance providing reports and recommendations.

Maintain strong working relationships across departments and with external suppliers.

Ensure all outputs align with branding governance and equality standards.
Essential Skills/Experience:

Proven experience in communications PR or marketing.

Strong writing editing and digital media skills.
-
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Knowledge of brand management and content creation.
-
Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
