Job Description
We are seeking a RN MedSurg / Telemetry for a 13weeks travel/contract assignment in Rochester New York. Both local and traveler candidates are welcome to apply.
Job Details:
- Shift: 12hr Nights
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekly Pay Rate: $2016 $2160
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care in MedSurg Telemetry units.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions including vital signs and telemetry monitoring.
- Administer medications treatments and IV therapy as prescribed.
- Collaborate with physicians therapists and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families on disease management postdischarge care and treatment plans.
- Ensure accurate documentation in Epic EMR.
- Float to similar units as required. If assigned to ICU or ED responsibilities will be limited to MedSurglevel patients or assisting staff.
- Adhere to all hospital policies procedures and patient safety standards.
Requirements:
- Active RN license in New York State.
- 2 years of experience is required. Must have cardiac surgical experience.
- AHA: BLS ACLS NIHSS and LVAD certifications are required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong critical thinking communication and problemsolving skills.
Travel & Local Considerations:
- Candidates outside a 75mile radius qualify for travel pay.
