Job Description

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – Urgent Care Clinic
Location: Maple Grove MN
Schedule: Rotating 12hour shifts (8:00 AM – 8:00 PM) 72 hours per 2week pay period including rotating weekends
Start Date: May 19 2025
Pay Range: $22.23 – $27.37 per hour based on experience
Employment Type: Permanent

About the Role:
A Certified Medical Assistant is needed to support clinical operations at a busy Urgent Care Clinic in Maple Grove MN. This position plays a vital role in both clinical and administrative functions helping manage patient flow assist with procedures administer medications and immunizations and support front and backoffice operations. The clinic serves a diverse patient population of all ages in a fastpaced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Room patients and document clinical information accurately

  • Administer injections immunizations and medications as directed

  • Collect lab specimens and perform phlebotomy

  • Facilitate communication between patients and providers

  • Assist with prescription refills and prior authorizations

  • Provide front desk coverage and maintain clinic supplies

  • Ensure compliance with safety regulatory and documentation standards

  • Participate in training skill updates and competency assessments

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program

  • Current Medical Assistant certification (required)

  • Current BLS certification (required)

  • Previous clinical experience (required)

  • Passed xray operator’s exam or willingness to obtain (clinic dependent)

  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and multitasking in highvolume settings

Additional Notes:

  • No oncall requirement

  • Candidate must not have applied directly to be eligible through an agency

  • Date of birth required at time of submission for compliance screening
