Our client a global healthcare company is seeking an an SAP MDGS Consultant to lead master data governance for Customers and Suppliers in SAP MDG and SAP ECC as the company upgrades from SAP ECC 6.0 to S/4Hana systems. You will ensure data accuracy compliance and seamless integration across business processes for the client s global needs. Candidates must possess both German and Englishspeaking skills as this will be critical for collaborating with stakeholders in their regional offices.
This is a remote contract role with minimal travel. The length of this contract will be through the end of 2025 with the likelihood of renewal well into 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement SAP MDG (Master Data Governance) solutions for Customer and Supplier master data domains
- Define data models workflows and validation rules to ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g. GDPR)
- Lead data cleansing deduplication and enrichment initiatives for legacy ECC/ S4Hana systems
- Resolve master data inconsistencies impacting procurement sales and financial processes
- Configure and troubleshoot data replication between SAP MDG and ECC systems
- Support data migration from legacy platforms to SAP MDG ensuring minimal business disruption
- Partner with Germanspeaking business teams to translate requirements into technical workflows
- Train users on MDG processes and data stewardship tools
Requirements
- 5 years in SAP MDG (focus on Customers & Suppliers) and SAP ECC and S/4 HANA (FI/MM/SD modules)
- Expertise in data governance frameworks BRF rules and MDG UI/UX customization
- Proficiency in data migration tools (e.g. LSMW SAP Data Services)
- Background in manufacturing healthcare or logistics with strict master data requirements
- Fluent in German and English (written and spoken) for crossregional collaboration
Preferred Qualifications:
- SAP MDG Certification SAP ECC / S4HANA Data Migration or related credentials
5 7 years of experience in implementing and supporting Ariba solutions (Ariba SCC, Ariba SLP, Ariba Procurement). Knowledge of Ariba integration with SAP ERP or other systems is a plus. Strong understanding of procurement and invoicing processes. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a remote environment. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. High Preference. Ariba certifications (e.g., SAP Certified Application Associate - SAP Ariba Procurement). Experience with Ariba Network and Supplier Collaboration. Knowledge of cloud-based procurement solutions and best practices
