Summary:
The Auto Body Repair Technician will perform quality repairs on vehicles such as minor dents to major frame work and will restore vehicles to preaccident condition while maintaining safety standards and delivering excellent customer satisfaction.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Accurately assess vehicle damage and follow BMW repair procedures
- Perform structural and cosmetic body repairs including dent removal panel replacement and MIG welding
- Operate frame machines and computerized measuring systems for precision alignment
- Sand prep and finish body surfaces in coordination with the paint team
- Collaborate closely with estimators painters and parts staff to maintain efficiency
- Follow OEM repair guidelines safety protocols and shop procedures
- Maintain a clean organized and compliant workspace
Qualifications :
- 2 years of handson experience in auto body repair
- Proficient in metal straightening MIG welding and structural repairs
- Familiarity with frame machines plastic repair and dent repair techniques
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record
- Must supply own tools
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4 years in a highend or luxury collision repair environment
- ICAR BMW STEP or OEM structural certifications
- Experience with aluminum and highstrength steel repair techniques
- Familiarity with BMW repair protocols and diagnostic tools
