The Role:
Manage the reporting of testing data daily to ensure the customer deadlines are met. This involves coordinating with the laboratory to receive collate and input analytical data into technical reports in a timely manner.
Main duties:
- Responsible for writing test reports and working with the testing team to deliver reports on time or early where possible.
- Liaise with analytical chemists to collate analytical test data for all customer reports.
- Check data for suitability and apply uncertainty of measurement/decision rules when appropriate.
- Check the data against the customer specifications to ensure suitability.
- Liaise with external partner laboratories to obtain data to achieve internal deadlines.
- Checking customer test requests before scheduling the work for testing.
- Identify where there may be problems achieving customer expectations and escalate when required.
- To coordinate with other report writers to achieve ontime or early delivery.
- Performing any other reasonable duties to assist the testing team and the business.
Qualifications :
What We Are Looking For:
- Degree educated in chemistry biochemistry or relevant subject area and proven experience in leather or textile supply chains and/or chemical industry or relevant experience working in a chemical testing laboratory.
- Good organisational skills with rigorous attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines and competing demands.
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form.
- Demonstrates a selfmotivated positive can do attitude and ability to work to tight deadlines and competing demands in a busy commercial environment.
- Adherence to the highest standards of precision accuracy and recordkeeping for maintaining our ISO 17025 accreditation for a wide range of methods.
- Initiative and an ability to multitask and plan work effectively to meet strict deadlines.
- Competence in using Microsoft Office software word and excel are essential.
- Computer literate and confident using Microsoft Office (Word and Excel are essential) and ideally have experience with data management systems such as CRMs and LIMS.
- A flexible approach to working additional hours when required.

This role is office based Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week. Core hours are 8.45 am to 5.00 pm.
