Job Description
Job Summary
The Truck Dumper is responsible for keeping raw material trailers dumped in a safe and timely manner.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Nothing in this job description restricts managements right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.
- Unloads trucks of raw material to ensure a constant flow of material into processing area.
- Obtains samples of raw materials during unloading process as instructed by supervisor.
- Operates yard and plant equipment to unload and load materials.
- Washes plant equipment vehicles and processing areas as necessary using high pressure power washer.
- Performs general cleaning as needed in work areas.
- Assures equipment and work area is clean after each shift.
- Performs periodic preventative maintenance of equipment as determined by Supervisor.
- Maintains safety as top priority in accordance with all company safety rules and regulations.
- All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in operating a yard tractor or equivalent training preferred.
- Good oral and written communication skills; able to follow oral and written directions.
- Ability to work nights and/or weekends as needed.
Physical Demands
- Frequently required to walk stand sit climb balance stoop kneel crawl and crouch.
- Frequently must push pull move or lift up to 50 lbs.
- Regularly required reach with hands and arms.
Work Environment
Job functions will be carried out in a bakery facility which requires tolerance for high heat and/or cold temperatures.
