The Assistant Project Manager for the Special Projects Team in the Design Services Group plays a crucial role in the successful management and delivery of engineering and infrastructure projects. This position involves defining project scope and schedules allocating resources and providing technical support to a team of professional staff members. The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for leading communications with project teams and stakeholders ensuring all activities are overseen effectively and addressing any issues promptly. Additionally this role includes helping other teams within Design Services and other departments conducting various studies and preparing and presenting staff reports. The Assistant Project Manager also helps administer Housing Program special Task Orders and supports emergency outfall maintenance and rehabilitation contracts as well as infrastructure projects such as parking lots roadways sidewalks and trails.
