Night Audit - Bar Harbor Grand Hotel & Acadia Inn

Ready for a rewarding career in Bar Harbor Maine Were hiring a Night Auditor to join our dedicated team for the 2025 season with a unique opportunity to work at two of our properties: the Bar Harbor Grand Hotel and the Acadia Inn. This seasonal position is perfect for someone who enjoys working independently during quiet hours ensuring smooth operations and providing excellent service to our guests.

This role is shared between both properties:

• Monday Tuesday and Wednesday overnight shifts (11 p.m. 7 a.m.) at the Bar Harbor Grand Hotel

• Thursday and Friday overnight shifts (11 p.m. 7 a.m.) at the Acadia Inn

As a Night Auditor youll take on a variety of responsibilities from reconciling the days financial transactions to addressing latenight guest inquiries. Guided by the General Manager youll ensure our guests feel welcome and supported even during the overnight hours. Youre not just balancing the books; youre creating peace of mind. Your role is vital in ensuring accurate records and a seamless transition for the morning staff. Youll also handle light cleaning duties and security checks. Youll be working your magic on a seasonal basis at both the Bar Harbor Grand Hotel and the Acadia Inn in Bar Harbor Maine. This position is 32 hours per week with overnight shifts from 11 p.m. to 7 through Wednesday at the Bar Harbor Grand Hotel and Thursday through Friday at the Acadia Inn. The starting wage is $20 per hour.

Here are some more details:

Essential Duties

• Reconcile daily financial transactions and prepare reports.
• Welcome and assist latenight guests with checkins checkouts and inquiries.
• Monitor and respond to phone calls and emails.
• Perform light cleaning duties and ensure the lobby and other common areas are tidy.
• Conduct security checks to ensure the safety of guests and staff.
• Prepare and set up breakfast service for early risers.
• Collaborate with the Front Office and other departments as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Skills Required

• Strong attention to detail and problemsolving skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Comfortable with basic accounting tasks and using hotel management software (training provided).
• Flexibility to adapt to varying tasks and schedules.

Education and Experience

• Previous experience in hospitality accounting or night audit roles is a plus but not required. We will train the right candidate.

Performance Measurement

• 90day performance review guest feedback and collaboration with the team.
