Job Description

Ipswich Middle/High School is seeking a fulltime union benefited custodial position. The schedule is Monday through Friday 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Candidates must be able to perform all the duties associated with the custodial position including but not limited to the following:Cleaning Washing Sanitization of entire school grounds such as bathrooms classrooms offices stripping and waxing of various flooring systemsVacuuming shampooing and cleaning of rugsMoving and assembly of furniture and equipmentHandling of trash recycling and composting Perform School grounds and building health and safety checksPerform School grounds and building security checksPerform minor maintenance including painting repairs changing bulbs minor fields and grounds maintenance as neededMust be able and available for snow removal and other events which may require over time Must be able to handle various equipment such as but limited not to the following:Floor MachinesSnow BlowerThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to do this job.
