Job Description
San Marcos Academy is seeking a dedicated and passionate fulltime history teacher for theschool year. This position involves teaching history classes to Middle School (8th grade) and Upper School (9th grade) students. The ideal candidate will inspire creativity and foster a love for history in students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging and ageappropriate lesson plans for Middle and Upper School history classes.
- Teach historical concepts events and perspectives using a variety of instructional strategies and primary sources.
- Foster critical thinking discussion and analysis of historical events and their impact on the modern world.
- Assess student understanding through a range of formative and summative evaluations and provide timely constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines to support crosscurricular initiatives and schoolwide learning goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the principal.

Qualifications:
