Senior Specifications Writer
Direct Hire Hybrid Minneapolis MN or Milwaukee WI $98k $114k
Konik is partnering with an interdisciplinary design firm in the Twin Cities seeking a Senior Specifications Writer to prepare project manuals and specifications for commercial building projects nationwide. This position requires a thorough knowledge of architectural building systems products and materials.
Senior Specifications Writer Responsibilities include:
- Review drawings and coordinate with architectural and engineering teams to write and assemble specifications
- Coordinate with clients and contractors to incorporate their requirements into project manuals
- Prepare preliminary project descriptions
- Research and document new and evolving materials products and building systemsin coordination with the specifications team
- Develop and maintain firm master guide specifications
- Coordinate material identification and annotation between drawings and specifications.
Senior Specifications Writer Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Associates degree in Architecture or Engineering
- 7 years of experience preparing architectural specifications for commercial building projects.
- Thorough knowledge of commercial building construction and experience working on large building projects is ideal
- Certified Construction Specifier (CCS) is preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and specification editing software such as VisiSpecs Deltek Masterworks or SpecLink
