Job Description
The Education and Workforce Special Programs Outreach and Development Manager works in close collaboration with the Virginia Tech Innovation Campus Research Faculty and Director of Technical Education and Workforce Development in planning designing implementing and leading collaborative approaches to programs for developing the regional ecosystem supporting our future technical workforce.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in a technical (STEM) field or relevant education fields;
Experience in facilitating programs supporting elementary and secondary education;
Familiarity with schools and school systems in the Washington D.C. metro area and specifically DCPS and nearby Northern Virginia schools;
Experience in managing teams of individuals with varied goals expertise and experiences in striving for a common goal; and
Experience in identifying relevant funding resources and proposal writing.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated success in proposal development and fundraising; and
Ten or more years of Experience in developing and managing programs supporting elementary and secondary education in the Greater Washington D.C. area.
