Job Description
AMG & Associates seeks a talented and passionate Data Engineer to join our growing team. You will be critical in building and maintaining the data infrastructure that powers our datadriven decisionmaking and innovative products.
Responsibilities:
1. Design and Build Scalable Data Pipelines: Develop and implement robust ETL/ELT processes to extract transform and load data from various sources into our data warehouse and data lake.
2. Data Modeling and Architecture: Design and maintain data models schemas and database structures to support analytical and operational needs.
3. Data Quality and Governance: Implement data quality checks monitoring and validation processes to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
4. Infrastructure Management: Manage and optimize data infrastructure components including databases data warehouses data lakes and cloudbased services.
5. Automation and Scripting: Automate repetitive tasks and data workflows using scripting languages and orchestration tools.
6. Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists analysts and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver effective data solutions.
Qualifications:
1. A Bachelors degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science Engineering or Information Systems is required.
2. Candidates should have experience in data engineering or a related field.
3. Strong programming skills in Python Java or Scala are necessary.
4. Expertise in SQL and database management is expected.
5. Experience with big data technologies (e.g. Hadoop Spark Kafka) and cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Azure GCP) is highly desirable.
6. Familiarity with ETL/ELT tools and data pipeline orchestration is needed.
7. Strong analytical and problemsolving skills are a must.
8. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are also required.
Bonus Points:
1. A Masters degree in a related field is a plus.
2. Experience with machine learning frameworks and data visualization tools is beneficial.
