The Clinical Directoris a senior leadership position responsible for the clinical governance and operational oversight of the hEP program. Based at the headspace Adelaide site and colocated with the primary headspace service the role ensures the delivery of safe effective and evidencebased care for young people and their families. Working closely with the Manager and Senior Leadership Team the Clinical Director will lead the implementation of the Early Psychosis Prevention and Intervention Centre (EPPIC) model strengthen integration across services and contribute to strategic planning. The role also involves building collaborative relationships with community partners and headspace National embedding quality improvement and risk management practices supervising the medical team delivering direct clinical care and providing strategic advice to Sonders CEO and Board subcommittees.
Experience Requirements:
- Training and extensive experience in clinical psychiatry in particular early intervention of psychosis. Child and adolescent psychiatry advanced certification is highly desirable.
- Extensive experience in clinical leadership in a public and /or private health environment.
- Demonstrated clinical expertise in working with young people experiencing or at risk of psychosis including a sound knowledge of best practice interventions clinical processes and systems in the area of early psychosis.
- Demonstrated experience and expertise in the provision of professional leadership and supervision of medical and nonmedical staff.
- Demonstrated experience in financial and human resource management.
Qualification and Other Requirements:
- Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent qualification.
- Registration as a medical practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists or equivalent postgraduate specialist qualification.
- Current or willing to obtain a Working with Childrens Check (WWCC)
